We would like to have paper maps of the parks and Epcot resort area. The downloadable PDF's are great but too small for us to comfortably read. Where is the best place to order paper maps from? Thanks!!!

    Hi Ann!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I, like you, appreciate a good paper map when I visit the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. One of the first things I do when I arrive at my resort hotel is to pick up some park maps at the reception desk! I like to plan out my days, circling favorite attractions and making notes of not-to-be-missed snacks and treats. (I'm kind of a theme park nerd like that!)

Unfortunately, Walt Disney World no longer mails out paper maps to Guests. They do offer downloadable maps on the Walt Disney World Resort website, one for each of Walt Disney World's four amazing theme parks:
I find these maps much easier to read on my laptop, because, I agree, the wording is a bit small when printed. For a recent trip, when I wanted to surprise my kids, I downloaded the map files and had them printed a bit larger for them to enjoy.

One way to possibly be able to peruse paper maps of the parks is to enlist the help of an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner to help build your vacation package. My Disney travel agent always seems to have current park maps on hand, and is able to provide me with some before each visit. Yes, as a planDisney panelist, I've visited the parks enough to know my way around, and also to be able to book my own Disney vacations. That being said, even I like using the services of a certified, trained Authorized Disney specialist - especially during these times that protocols and park experiences are constantly shifting and changing! I can't guarantee that all Authorized Disney Vacation Planners will have current park maps on hand, but from my experience, it's a good avenue to try. Remember that the use of their expert services comes at no extra cost to Guests than if you were to book your vacation yourself on the Walt Disney World website.

Another great way to check out all there is to see and do on a Walt Disney World vacation is with the My Disney Experience mobile app. Within the app, you'll have interactive maps, walking directions, wait times, and more! There is a search function where you can find the nearest Baby Care Center, Quick Service dining location, even the closest restroom. You can browse a list of attractions, read a short a description, see the thrill level, and decide if it works for your travel party. You'll be able to see all of your plans, including your resort information and dining reservations, and you'll also have access to your PhotoPass photo gallery! All the information you need for your magical vacation is right at your fingertips with the My Disney Experience app.

I hope this information is helpful with planning and preparation for an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
