I am panning my family's 1st trip to WDW for Sept 2012, How early is too early to book Magic My Way package

    Hi Jerre!

I don't think it's ever too early!  If Disney comes out with a discount between now and your trip and if it is applicable, you can always call Disney and have that discount applied as long as it's done before 45 days before your trip; within 45 days, Disney will charge a small fee to apply the discount.  So you really have nothing to lose.

If you want to take the work out of trying to stay on top of discounts that are released and wondering which ones are applicable, you could always work with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.  He or she is a travel agent that specializes in vacations to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney.  Almost all do not charge anything for their service and the better ones will apply the discounts that are applicable without any request from you; my favorite has saved me lots of money over the years!

By the way, since it's your first trip, I also recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a great book for first time visitors with just the right amount of information without being overwhelming.  It's also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel for what there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Finally, don't forget to make Advanced Dining Reservations!  They can be made 180 days in advance, so you have plenty of time to think where you might like to dine at!

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
