Hi! I am in panic mode. I have 1 week left to keep the secret and prepare for the WDW trip without letting my kids know. Any last minute advice or ideas?

    Hi Pam!

Your trip is SO close!  How exciting!  Other than being at Walt Disney World, the week before is one of my favorite parts of a Walt Disney World vacation!

Make sure you have all dining reservations booked, and have your confirmation numbers (I always, ALWAYS call to confirm) with you.  Make sure you have your resort confirmation number as well as rental car/transportation confirmation (if applicable) .  All of these things I put in a folder that goes in the outside pocket of our carry-on bag (if flying).  I also pack some snacks, small books and toys for the kids in the plane.

Check www.weather.com for the forecast for your vacation about 5 days before your departure (enter zip code 32830).

To help keep it a surprise from the kids, pack at night and hide all evidence before they wake in the morning to keep it a surprise, but remember not to pack their favorite shirt or lovey until the day of (so they won't notice it is missing.  Also, make sure to charge and pack batteries for cameras and video cameras (you want to capture the moment you tell them on video!)--also don't forget to pack the chargers!

Breathe, smile, and ENJOY!   Your kids are going to be so thrilled to hear they are headed to Walt Disney World!

    Have a magical vacation!
