Hello Panel! Which water park is better for a child who is a beginner swimmer? Thanks,

Hi Margaret! This is a tough question as it is a personal preference and if you ask ten moms you might get it split down the middle. But I really believe that the Blizzard Beach Water Park is perfect for those little beginner swimmers.

This park has an entire area called Tikes Peak which is totally dedicated to the young children. In fact older children are not allowed so the little ones are not pushed around lining up for the short slides or rides. There is even a small inner tube ride and some chutes but all proportioned for the youngest members of the family. There are plenty of seating near this area too so you can plant yourself there and make it your base for the day.

Be sure and have the entire family enjoy the Cross Country Creek sometime during your day. It is a wonderful Lazy River type ride that encircles the park and allows you to relax and catch your breath while staying in the water.

My last big suggestion is to not leave the park without trying some of the famous Mini Donuts. The only problem with them is that you can't just eat one. They are such a yummy treat during the day.

Both parks offer great rides, good food, and a relaxing atmosphere for some fun in the sun and water. Blizzard Beach also offers the additional entertainment, the Winter-Summerland Mini Golf. This is located just outside the entrance to the water park.
