Hi Panel, We are planning an April trip with children age 14, 9, and 9. We struggling with where to stay since we are a family of 5 and celebrating 8th grade graduation and confirmation. Also with a 14 year old with a huge appetite is club level worth it

    Kathleen:

Even with a family of 5, you have many choices of where to stay: the Family Suites at All-Star Music or Art of Animation, the cabins at Fort Wilderness or the rooms at the Deluxe resorts that sleep up to 5 not to mention any of the Deluxe Villas. If you are considering club level, I would guess that your budget could afford to look at the cabins or deluxe accommodations, so let's compare:

    • Cabins: The cabins offer lots of room both inside and outside to spread out, especially if your older child needs room from the younger siblings. A full kitchen can give you what you need to keep your older child full--from cooking breakfast to late-night snacks. It's a more laid-back experience, and I'd use your savings from club level to splurge on a golf cart for the large resort.
    • Deluxe Rooms: With the ages of your children, I'd choose an Epcot-area resort and because you are going in April when you can maximize your pool time, I'd narrow it down to Beach Club resort. You'll be within walking distance of both Epcot and Hollywood Studios and can enjoy the the Boardwalk at night. There is a club level at Beach Club, but unless all of you are big eaters and want to head back to your room in the afternoon for appetizers and at night during Illuminations for a late-night happy hour, I'd recommend saving your money and letting your teenager head down to Beach Club Marketplace for a filling breakfast every morning.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
