Hi Katherine,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
It's wonderful to hear you'll get to enjoy the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays! I love touring each of the World Showcase Pavilions to take in the special seasonal performances highlighting holiday traditions around the world. The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays also features one of my favorite Christmas celebrations — the
Candlelight Processional. The performance perfectly blends all its show elements — the orchestra, the choir, and the moving narrative — to bring you straight into a spirit of celebration.
Of course, what's a holiday celebration without holiday foods, and that's where the
Holiday Kitchens add to the festivity. When it comes to requests for changes to some of the dishes, I can share that the Cast Members are happy to accommodate requests when possible. Earlier this month, for example, I visited the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival with a good friend who adheres to a grain-free diet. The Cast Member servers were happy to prepare a delicious dish and leave out some of the items as she requested. In a few situations, though, the items she asked to be left out were pre-mixed or pre-made as part of the dish, and so it wasn't possible to leave them out. Generally speaking, the Cast Member servers are happy to make you happy. My suggestion is to simply let them know your request and see if they can prepare a dish for you.
Katherine, here's wishing you a wonderful holiday celebration and a magical stay at Walt Disney World.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
