Hi panel!Planning on taking the monorail on a Sunday morning(before the park opens)from MK to Chef Mickeys for a 745am reserv. How long will that ride take?Seeing as it is a Sunday will the monorail run as often as a weekday?Where can I find the schedules?

    Hi Kandace.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.

You'll indeed want to travel initially to Magic Kingdom, in order to reach Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort prior to regular park hours. Although there are no posted schedules of the Walt Disney World monorails' operating schedule, the Resort Monorail generally operates from 7am until 1 hour after park closing. The hours do not vary by day of the week, so you'll find the monorail to be operating just as regularly on a Sunday as any other day of the week.

Upon arrival at Magic Kingdom if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, or the Transportation and Ticket Center if coming in from outside the property, you'll simply jump on board the Resort Monorail.

The ride from Magic Kingdom's monorail platform is just one stop or about a 5 minute journey. From the Transportation and Ticket Center, you'll be getting off at the 3rd stop (after the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom stops) which is the Contemporary Resort.

If you have additional questions about your upcoming visit, I'd be happy to assist you further Kandace. Please feel free to write me back any time - I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
