Hello Moms Panel, Needing your help. The week before Thanksgiving or the 2nd week of December? Which will have the lowest crowds? What is your favorite time to visit? Thanks

    Hi, Tara!

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel!

A trip to Walt Disney World near Thanksgiving through December is truly the most magical time of year to visit; excellent choice!

Timing your visit to Walt Disney World is very smart, too, as crowd levels change dramatically from week to week. When we visit WDW the week before Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter, we know that crowd levels will be higher than at other times of year. Many schools are closed for the holiday, so families and teachers alike (including yours truly) tend to head to Walt Disney World at that time. As such, the parks are more crowded. Nevertheless, trips at that time are still magical; we just plan our touring differently.

Should you wish to visit Walt Disney World during the 2nd week of December, you will likely find the crowd levels to be a bit lower than at Thanksgiving. Moreover, this is truly my favorite time of year to visit, as everything has an extra layer of magic draped around it. Cinderella Castle is decked out in extra majesty, and sights and sounds are oh so festive--everywhere. Truly, Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort is the most magical time of year. You'll love it.

Send more questions as you plan your stay, Tara; we love to help!
