Hello Moms Panel My question is when is the best possible time to book my vacation? We aren't planning on going until August of 2013. Thanks

    Hi Janessa.

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!
Planning ahead for your vacation is a great idea and makes the budgeting so much less stressful.
Bookings are now available through through 2013, so the sooner you can reserve the better. This gives you longer to save and more time to make small payments over time.

Visit the Walt Disney World website's Vacation Package Guide to review the Magic Your Way Vacation Package options. Choose the resort, park ticket and meal plan that best suits your personal needs and budget. Once you've decided, simply book your vacation online with a $200 deposit to reserve your package. It's that simple!

During your booking, you'll have created an online profile and can then log in as often as you wish to make payments, provided your payment is a minimum of $20 per transaction. You'll be given a date by which your vacation must be paid in full. I recommend backtracking from that date to the current date, and dividing your payments over that number of weeks. Then you can choose to log in and make weekly, bi-monthly or monthly payments with the peace of mind that you'll be paid in full by your vacation package due date. I usually set an automatic reminder in my cell phone or computer calendar to log into my online banking, transfer cash to my credit or debit card, then make my payment on the Walt Disney World site!

If you need to make changes to your package, or if a Special Offer is advertised that you want to take advantage of after you've already booked, simply call a Disney Cast Member for assistance at (407) 939-7675. Have your confirmation number handy when you call.

Have fun planning Janessa - and don't hesitate to visit me again if I can provide you with any further assistance!
