    Hello Moms panel, My husband, 7 year old daughter and I are going to Aulani in Aug 2013. We are wondering if we should book Disney's ground transportation to get from the airport to the resort, take a cab, or do you suggest something different? Thank you

    Aloha Surita!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  You, your husband and daughter are going to love Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa!  I'm so excited to be able to help you plan your vacation to this magical place.  At this time, Disney is not offering transportation for visitors to Aulani.  This leaves you with a couple of options.  If you are planning on spending all of your time at Aulani, you could arrange for an airport shuttle or just take a taxi.  Do an internet search for shuttle service from Honolulu airport, and you will find many companies offering this service.  You should arrange round trip transportation, which is usually cheaper than booking one-way with either a shuttle or taxi.  Just be sure to check some reviews of the company you are considering, on a reliable site such as Tripadvisor.com.  The other option, and one that we do, is to rent a car at the airport and drive ourselves to the resort.  This gives us the flexibility to explore the island or make a quick run into Kapolei, the nearby town.  One thing to consider if you do rent a car is that Aulani does charge $35 per day to park your vehicle if you are not Disney Vacation Club members.  Aulani does offer daily car rentals from the resort if you just wanted to explore for a day here and there - a very nice option which will avoid those daily parking fees.
