Hi Rochelle,
Welcome back to planDisney! We are so happy that our answers help you plan your Walt Disney World vacations each year.
Like you, I love
Wilderness Lodge and the dining options there, and I'm a big fan of Geyser Point Bar & Grill. My family travels to Wilderness Lodge just to have its bison cheeseburger and to relax next to Bay Lake. We also enjoy relaxing with a nosh and a sip in
Territory Lounge. And
Whispering Canyon Cafe is always a rip-roarin' experienced.
I'm pleased to tell you that
Geyser Point is included in the
Disney Dining Plan. Though Geyser Point is a table service location, seating is first-come, first-serve and reservations are not accepted. That's never been an issue for us because, even if seats aren't yet available, we can still enjoy the view and a drink while we wait. We often choose Geyser Point for a late lunch on the last day of our vacation.
It sounds as if your husband may not be a theme park guy. No worries! There are plenty of fun activities to tempt him with outside of the theme parks. In the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort areas alone, you can find activities that include
fishing,
horseback riding,
nature walks, campfires, an art and architecture tour of Wilderness Lodge and so much more.
Thanks again for your questions, Rochelle. Happy planning!
Wilma
