Bright Suns Janet, and welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by en route to a galaxy far, far away.
Using Mobile Food & Beverage Orders is so convenient. I love placing my lunch order while in line for an attraction and having it magically ready when I disembark! When I'm traveling with my family, we just pass the phone around while everyone selects what they want to eat, and then we finalize and retrieve the order without waiting in a physical line or stressing about getting everything right at the cash registers. It simplifies quick-service dining for everyone, but especially travelers with young Padawans.
I was visiting
Black Spire Outpost with some fellow panelists just last month, and we wanted to try some of the tasty treats at
Woody's Lunch Box after our intergalactic travels. Because our flight on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was a little longer than anticipated, I missed my pick-up window by just a few minutes. I received a pop-up alert that my order would be canceled and payment refunded, but since I was less than 5 minutes too late and already entering Toy Story Land, I stopped by Woody's Lunch Box just in case. Sure enough, my Lunch Box Tarts were still waiting for me, I showed a Cast Member my mobile device, and she finalized the order and handed me my breakfast. If you never click "I'm Here, Prepare My Order" and your window passes, your payment method will be refunded and you can start the Mobile Food & Beverage Order process again. You'll find a Cast Member with an iPad stationed just outside all quick-service locations who can assist with any questions or issues that come up with your orders.
I hope this is helpful! I'll share one last tip for
Mobile Food & Beverage Orders to help you become a true Jedi master. If you're like me and use
Disney Gift Cards or Disney Rewards Dollars to cover expenses during a trip, I suggest putting the numbers for these cards into the Notes application on your mobile device. When it's time to check out and add a payment method, choose "Disney Gift Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card." Then, copy and paste the numbers in your Note and you'll be on your way! This saves you from pulling out the cards and typing in the numbers each time.
Thanks again for coming to see us before making the jump to light speed, Janet. Best wishes for a safe journey, and may the Force be with you.
Til the spire!
Betsy
