Hi Panelists! We were planning on taking the Skyliner from the Boardwalk to visit Art of Animation. Is the Skyliner currently boarding only one family per gondola? Thank you!

    Hello Melissa,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Wow, the countdown is on! Only a couple more sleeps until you join in The World's Most Magical Celebration!

Whether you're using it as transportation to the parks or to another resort for dining and shopping, you are going to love the convenience of Disney Skyliner. It's a ride in itself, with some spectacular views. Heading to Disney's Art of Animation Resort sounds like a fun plan. If you've never visited, you'll love the theming and find some fun areas to snap a few photos. For a while, Cast Members were only loading one party at a time on the gondolas; however, during my last trip, we would occasionally be grouped with other parties. It really just depends on how busy the Skyliner stations are and how big your party is. If you are traveling in the morning when guests are trying to get to the parks or at night after the parks close, you'll likely find yourself traveling with other guests. During slower times, Cast Members may only load one party per gondola.

Another fun place to stop is Disney's Riviera Resort. The pastries at Le Petit Cafe are so tempting, and if you can get a reservation at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, the food is delicious and the view is incredible! At this highly popular restaurant, reservations are probably booked, but it's worth checking to see if there are any last minute cancellations.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
