A holly jolly 'hello' to you, Melissa!
I'm so glad you stopped back by planDisney! Can you believe that in less than two weeks you will be in The Most Magical Place on Earth? It truly will be the most wonderful time of the year!
I just returned from my own magical vacation and am happy to report that the halls are decked, and Walt Disney World is ready to welcome you as you celebrate the season. While Main Street, U.S.A. is an undeniable (central Florida) winter wonderland in November and December, I'm partial to the shiny tinsel and colorful lights that adorn Disney's Hollywood Studios, so
Disney Jollywood Nights is my must-do holiday celebration!
Happily, I was able to attend the event's opening night, so I'm delighted to share my insight and observations, with you Melissa! While both the
FriendShip Boats and
Disney Skyliner will allow you to arrive at the event in style (don't forget that you can enter as early as 6 PM if you don't have a regular theme park ticket), my experience was that the only complimentary Walt Disney World Resort transportation operating at the conclusion of the event was the ever-dependable buses. Of course, transportation offerings are always subject to change, and since this was the first night of the event, I suggest checking with a Cast Member upon arrival at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the day's schedule. As a reminder, since you're staying at
Disney's BoardWalk Villas, you'll also have the option to head back to your Disney Resort hotel on foot.
Enough talk about the end of the event, Melissa. I had an absolute blast with some of my planDisney pals, so I want to make sure you hit the highlights!
- Be sure to check out the
Disney Eats: Disney Jollywood Night Foodie Guide before your big night to ensure you're able to enjoy some of the tasty treats. I was a big fan of the Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls and the Holiday Cheer!
- Don't miss the opportunity to dance and sing alongside some of your favorite Pixar characters at Pixar Disco. Seeing Mike Wazowski waddle to the beat of one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs amidst a cloud of bubbles instantly became a core memory.
- The Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club is a glamorous celebration reminiscent of Christmases past. Be ready to sing, tap, and sip along with the retro band. Who knows? You might even be asked to share a dance with the entertainment.
- Disney's Holidays in Hollywood is hosted by Kermit and Miss Piggy and features cameos by some of your favorite Disney characters. It's a pixie-dusted celebration that you won't want to miss.
I ho-ho-hope this was helpful, Melissa! If you'd like any additional recommendations for the event, feel free to
jingle back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Merry Thoughts!
