Hello Panel, I will be traveling to Disney this October with three kids, ages 6, 2 and 8 months. What would be the best resort hotel to stay at that will have plenty of things to do for all the kids?

    Hi Stephanie:

To me, the answer to the best Resort for children this age, especially with an infant and a toddler, is going to be what Resort is most convenient for the parents. I've been traveling to Walt Disney World with my boys since they were infants. Ease of transportation was my main priority at that age. Since you are likely to spend time at Magic Kingdom, I would look at the three monorail Resorts, particularly the Polynesian. These Resorts provide extremely convenient access to Magic Kingdom and Epcot via monorail. Also, Wilderness Lodge is a fun boatride away from Magic Kingdom, and my children always considered the boat ride to the Park to be an attraction itself.

Other great Resorts known for their great location are the Resorts located in the Boardwalk area.  Specifically, I would look at Beach or Yacht Club. Yacht and Beach Club share Stormalong Bay, the best Resort pool at Disney World. Stormalong Bay is like a mini-water park, covering three acres and features a lazy river and huge water slide. Not only are these Resorts centrally located near the entertainment and restaurants of the Boardwalk area, but they are a quick walk away from Epcot, and a long walk or short boat ride away from Hollywood Studios. The Boardwalk Inn is also located in the same area.

For a value Resort, consider Art of Animation.

    Enjoy your vacation.
