    Hi Panel-help!! Doing Land&Sea in Aug 7nts sea-3 land, Ltd on bag space Is it really necessary for DH & 3 DS's to wear dress pants/shirts in DR's or is nice shorts/collar shirts ok? Will we be permitted in DR's. Really doubles amt of clothes to br

    Hi Jean,

    This has become a very common concern among cruisers, especially with all of the baggage restrictions and fees the airlines are implementing these days.  I think as a result, the overall dress code has become a bit more casual in the cruise industry.

    I am a firm believer that it is not necessarily what you wear, but how you wear it.  I think that as long as you are cleaned up, well groomed and your clothes are nicely pressed - it doesn't really matter what you're wearing.  I think what you have described will work, and you certainly won't be turned away.  I might suggest that you bring at least one pair of dress pants for the "formal" evening.  Keep in mind that if you plan on dining at Palo, a jacket is suggested for men.
