Hi Mom's Panel, wondering if any moderate resorts have cots available? Thinking about a possible trip next year with 4 adults and need 3 beds and would really like to stay at Port Orleans or is our only option the cabins at FW? Thanks for your help.

    Hi, JoAnne!

Resorts do have rollaway beds available for a nightly fee, but supplies are limited and these cannot be reserved ahead of time.   If you go for this option and absolutely need the extra bed, I would call ahead to the resort and get some confirmation on getting your rollaway bed.

Other options that will give you 3 separate beds in one room:  All-Star Music Family Suites (your most economical Value Resort choice), Art of Animation Family Suites (still a Value Resort but a bit more pricey), Cabins at Fort Wilderness, or jump up to a Deluxe Room where you will get 2 queen beds plus a day bed.

Another option would be to book 2 standard rooms at a Value (best price, I like Pop Century!) or Moderate (I like French Quarter in this category).  This will give you plenty of space, each room would have 2 beds plus a full bath, and a bit more privacy for everyone.  I know it would be more money, but you would not have to worry about getting the rollaway (and paying somewhere between $18 - $20 per night for it) and the rooms are not that big so it will be crowed once that bed gets there.

Just some ideas for you to think about!  Good luck deciding let us know if you need help making any final decisions.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
