Hi Panel - such a wealth of information here. DD (10) & I headed to WDW 9/14 - 9/19 (annual trip). We don't usually do many quick service meals & are looking for some fun, different and yummy quick service restaurants in MK & Epcot. Any sugg

    Hello Cynthia,

My family loves to eat. I mean loves to eat. So dining at Disney is a true experience for us each visit. And just because we decide to have a meal at a Quick Service Restaurant doesn't mean it has to be less of an experience for us. Here are a few of our favorite spots to hit:

Sunshine Season Food Fair - In The Land Pavilion in Epcot, this Restaurant is open for all three meals so it's a great spot to hit all day long. This isn't your typical food court. They offer menu items with Asian flair, rotisserie chicken on the grill, salads and sandwiches. Plus it has really great desserts. Plenty of seating and it's just steps away from Soarin'!

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe - In the Magic Kingdom, you have three bays from which to choose: chicken, burgers and sandwiches. So yes, the options may look a bit "typical" but you'll be entertained through your meal by Sonny Eclipse. Music and a meal...can't beat it!

Tangerine Cafe - I think this is one of the hidden gems at Epcot. Mediterranean fare like couscous, hummus and tabouleh is served. And the atmosphere as you dine...wow. Beautiful. But this can be said for virtually anywhere in World Showcase. My husband loves Sommerfest. My daughter loves Boulangerie Patisserie in the France Pavilion.

There is one other Quick Service Restaurant I love that is not in Magic Kingdom or Epcot but just a quick Monorail ride away: Captain Cook's in the Polynesian Resort. I find their menu selection to be eclectic and exciting compared to other Resort restaurants. They have an adult grilled cheese sandwich I order all the time. They also serve flatbreads and a great Aloha Pork Sandwich. And they have their own self-serve Dole Whip machine!

    Hope this helps. Happy eating!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
