Hi Moms panel! We are visiting WDW for the first time from 12/14-12-28 next year, I am debating on adding the water park package, is this a waste because of the time of year? Are the pools heated at Bliz Bch and TL during the winter months? Thank you!

Water parks in the winter? Only at Walt Disney World is this a good idea.

Water park attractions and resort pools are heated to 80 degrees during the cooler months. The weather in central Florida tends to be mild with highs in the low 70s during December so Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are certainly doable this time of year.Be prepared to be a little chilly when out of the water. Children of course tend to dive right in and not even consider the temperature. Cold snaps do hit the Orlando area sometimes around Christmas but days in the 80s are also a possibility. Since your visit is two weeks long you should have a day where the weather is conducive to some splashing fun at a water park.

Enjoy some fun in the sun even in December!
