Hi Moms Panel, We are visiting Animal Kingdom on October 4th and have bought tickets for MNSSHP for that evening. I was wondering the best and fastest way to travel from AK to MK? What is the approximate travel time by Disney bus vs driving our own car?

Hello Jennifer! Disney's Animal Kingdom is my absolute favorite park. I can't wait to go next week to check out the new Harambe Market and spend some time enjoying the animals. The only way to travel between Disney's Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom is by using the Disney Transportation buses. Sure you can call a taxi or drive your own car, but it really won't make a difference in travel time. If you drove your own vehicle you'd have to park and hop on the tram to the Ticket and Transportation Center and then ride the ferry or monorail to the Magic Kingdom. So taking the bus might be the easiest, and most direct route to go. I always allow myself at least 60 minutes for travel time between Disney Parks and Resorts. Most of time it doesn't take over 20 minutes to get to where you need to go, but to be safe, use 60 minutes as the rule of thumb.

I hope this helps, and I hope you have a spook-tackular time at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! If you need anything else be sure to stop back in and we'd be happy to help.
