Hi panel! I've visited Disney World many times before now, but I've never built up the courage to ride the astro orbiter because of my fear of heights. My family wants me to be able to enjoy the ride and i'd really like to conquer my fear. Advice?

    Hi Katie!!!

Thank you so much for trusting the Panel with a question of this nature.  While all attractions are meant to be fun and entertaining often times fear and doubt can get in the way.  I would love to offer my advice on helping you conquer the Astro Orbiter at the Magic Kingdom!!!

First of all, my wife is not a fan of heights either.  She has ridden the Astro Orbiter and loved it.  Even though it is high above Tomorrowland, the platform from which you load on helps you not to look straight down to the ground.  That is the major factor that helped my wife!  You will also control whether you ascend or descend during the ride.  Staying low will help you have mostly a view of the platform.  The view you get of the Magic Kingdom (if you choose to ascend) is absolutely awesome.  The attraction is only a minute and a half long, so it is relatively quick.

All in all, I know that you will be able to conquer your fear of riding the Astro Orbiter!  Please return back to the Panel and let us know when you conquer your fears!!!

Thank you so much again for trusting us!

    Have a magical day!
