Hi Panel. 6 of us(incl 2 little ones) w/reservations in Cabins@FW Thnksgiving week. We will have a car. What is your recommendation on getting to each of the 4 parks from our cabin--bus, boat, or personal car? We will do a different park each day. Thnx.

We stayed at the Fort Wilderness cabins a couple of years ago, Marilyn and we, too had use of our own vehicle.  Still, we decided to try out the ferry to Magic Kingdom one time just for an experiment.  My personal opinion is that while the ferry was a convenient option for guests without vehicles, I would certainly rather drive.  My complaint about the ferry was that it was a bit slow for my tastes, and it was hot out.  After that first learning experience with the ferry, we opted to drive ourselves to each and every theme park.  Doing so really decreased the traveling time from point A to point B.  I would recommend that--especially with two little ones--you should drive yourself to the theme parks.  Besides the cost of gas, it's free to do so because parking at the theme parks is free for Disney resort guests.  I think you'll find it the most convenient option.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
