Hi JeVonn,
The excitement must be building as your magical vacation is about to be here! I bet your boys are on cloud nine right now!
I can totally understand wanting to keep things simple and not stress yourselves out with overplanning. That right there is my biggest advice to friends and families when traveling to Walt Disney World. If you overplan, the anxiety of not getting to everything could ruin the trip that is meant to be FUN!!! Here is how I would approach a basic itinerary for you without hopping or going to a water park.
I always like to suggest visiting the Magic Kingdom on the first day. From there, I would take a look at the
calendar of park hours and head to the parks with Extra Magic Hours. This complimentary perk for those staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel allows the guest to enter the parks one hour before park opening or extra hours after park closing. The crowd levels are lower and allow you to get to some favorite attractions with little or no wait. Even though you don't have the park hopper option, you can still leave a theme park, if you need a break, and return to that same park later in the day. Sometimes, a break in the day is absolutely necessary and key to avoiding meltdowns and tired kids.
For your boys, I would also recommend different complimentary activities in the parks such as the Kidcot Fun Stops around Epcot, Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure in Epcot,
Wilderness Explorers at Animal Kingdom (my 6 year old daughter tried this the first week it was offered and it was one of her favorite things about the trip).
Most of all, have fun and savor those simple moments of watching those boys have the time of their lives. Those will be the memories that will last forever.
