Hi Panel. Have trip planned for family of 4 10/27, but DS wants to invite a friend along. Is PORS the only moderate resort that can accommodate 5 guests? How difficult would it be to add another person to the ADRs? Thank you for all the great advice!

    Hi Diana!

October is a spectacular time to visit Walt Disney World! Make sure to check out Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, it is my favorite special event with delicious treats and events.Bringing your son's friend along is a great and generous idea, he will just need to be added at least 3 days before you arrival date. The Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside is the one of two Walt Disney World resorts in the moderate category that will accommodate 5 guests. The cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness will sleep up to 6 and are also in the moderate category.Other resorts that will allow 5 or more per a room include:
    • Family Suites at Art of Animation and All-Star Music Resort (Value Category)
    • Standard Rooms at Yacht and Beach Club Resort, Boardwalk Inn, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Polynesian Resort (Deluxe Category)
Adding an extra person to your dining reservations can take just a little more finesse, especially with popular restaurants such as Be Our Guests and during seasons when Disney's Free Dining Promotion will be offered.I would certainly try to contact Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE and see if it is possible to add an extra guest to your dining reservation.Sometimes cast member will be able to accommodate your request, but not always. If an extra guest cannot be accommodated, look to see if there are different times that might work for a larger party.Lastly, you can certainly go to your reservation and explain your situation to the host or hostess.Often I have found that it was no problem adding an extra guest at our table. In some cases the restaurant may be filled to capacity and the cast member will not be able to accommodate your request due to maximum occupancy fire codes.

I hope this helps, Diana! Please let me know if you have any more questions on your upcoming trip.

    Have a "spooktacular" vacation!
