Hi moms panel! Trip this December 11 - 18th we have dinner reservations at 6:20pm at the liberty tree tavern before the Mickey's very merry Christmas party at 7:oopm.... will we miss anything? What time does the parade start usually? Thanks :)

    Hi Martha,

Will you miss anything?  My experience is that even if you didn't have dinner reservations, there would still be something you might miss.  There are so many little shows, character greetings and special experiences associated with this fun party, that I don't think you could see and do everything.

As far as the parade, you shouldn't miss it.  I'm not sure of the schedule for this year, but last year the parade ran at 8:15 and 10:30 with Wishes in between at 9:30.  Don't rush at dinner.  Enjoy it - the party will be waiting for you when you're done.

There are other, smaller shows that take place throughout the evening.  Don't forget to stop by one of the character dance parties and enjoy some cookies and hot cocoa.  If riding your favorite attractions is a top priority, you should be able to do that with ease -- the lines are much smaller during the party than they are during regular park hours.  You'll also want to stroll down Main Street to see the snow lightly falling.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
