Hi panel! Thinking about POFQ next Sept. never stayed at a moderate before only value, which one is best? Going with hubby, 2 kids 6 and 8 and my mom. Also saw somewhere that the restaurants are not dine in, is this true? It seems strange to me!

    Hi Rebecca,
Our family has stayed at many resorts on Walt Disney World property including all of the moderates. I find them to be an excellent value!

    Let's go over each moderate:
Your first choice, Port Orleans French Quarter, is an excellent resort. With charming pathways, beautiful landscaping, a nice pool, and rooms that were renovated this past year, Port Orleans French Quarter is a wonderful hotel. You'll also have Sassagoula Riverboat transportation to Downtown Disney. There is a food court similar to the value resorts where you can get take-out or dine-in food.

Port Orleans Riverside offers boat transportation to Downtown Disney, plus the rooms have been going through renovations. This resort is much larger than French Quarter. It has a food court as well as a table-service restaurant, Boatwright's.

Caribbean Beach Resort is a large resort with a fun pool area and pirate ship water play area. However, the rooms here still have only double beds. All other moderates now have queen beds. It has a food court and a table-service restaurant, Shutters.

Coronado Springs Resort is sprawling. It has a large pool area. It is a convention hotel so it has some upgraded amenities such as a spa facility. Pepper Market serves a buffet breakfast and lunch plus a table-service dinner. Another table-service restaurant, Maya Grill, serves dinner only. Cafe Rix has grab 'n go food selections plus some hot food items for take-out.

Take a look at these descriptions then let me know if you have any further questions!
