Hi Panel! We are thinking of a mid-May visit in hopes to beat the summer heat and high crowds. We have visited twice in Nov and in Feb, wondering how this time of year compares? Any advice on weather, crowds and activities for this time of year? Thanks!

    Hi Jessica,

Our family loves visiting Walt Disney World during the month of May. Your prior visits in February and November were likely milder temperatures, but May will still be very beautiful.

I would highly suggest visiting Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival on your first day or two (before it closes for the season). You'll find gorgeous topiary displays, gardening presentations and multiple food booths. It's one of my favorite events throughout the year. You'll also want to check out the dates for Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios. My young "padawans" really enjoyed all of the activities, including a character dining experience with Darth Vader and the exclusive parade featuring celebrity guests.

And don't forget the Disney Water Parks, where you can snorkel with sharks, experience the exhilarating slides or kick back on a family-style raft. May is a perfect time of year to enjoy the water parks.

Any other questions, Jessica? I'm happy to help.

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
