Hi Mom's panel! Do you think my DS 11 will have a problem ordering from the kids menu on DDP? He only likes the basics. Realize I will have to pay adult price on DDP. Do you think DDP still worth it? thanks for advice!

    Hi Jennifer!

Anyone can order from the children's Menu in Walt Disney World.  You can use your son's Adult Table Service Dining Credits to pay for the Children's Meal, but a better option would be to pay cash the meals that you son orders from the Children's Meals to save the Adult Dining Credits for another meal! Anyone can order a kid's meal from the children's menu and also pay cash for it. Just make sure that you inform your server when you are ordering that you plan to pay cash for the children's meal and then use the Disney Dinning Plan to pay for the other meals for everyone else in your party.  I believe that the Disney Dining Plan is worth it especially if you make it work for your situation and maximize the value for your group.

I have used this strategy many times with my son and it has enabled us to eat at more Table Service Restaurants. We saved the Table Service Credits by paying cash for kids meals which are less expensive than adult meals. This strategy saves using an an Adult Table Service Credit for a less expensive kid's meal. The only watch out is that at Buffet type meals you have to pay the full adult price for kids 10 and up so you will not be able to utilize this method.

I hope you have some amazing dining experiences at Walt Disney World on your next trip!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
