Hello Panel! thanx for all the great info. We are staying at BC in Nov(DH,DD7, DD3) Does anyone know how many washing machines this resort has, how much it costs/load, if they are located close to SAB. Would be nice to relax by pool while doing laundry.

    Hi Karen,

I was just at the Beach Club Resort a few weeks ago and I did my laundry twice in 18 days so I think I can help you.  This resort has 2 laundromats, one is located inside the resort on the main floor at the end of the hall just inside from the Quiet pool.  This one is quite small with only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers.  This one also does not have a change machine or laundry detergent dispenser (I bring my own laundry detergent and fabric softener but I did need change and learned this the hard way).  There is another much larger laundromat located just outside from here, right next to the Quiet pool.  There is about a half dozen washers and the same amount of dryers (maybe a few more...I wasn't really counting!), but they do have the change machine located here as well as the laundry detergent dispenser.  The cost (as of July "2008) was $2.00 per load for the washers and the dryers were also $2.00 per drying cycle.  There was a sign noting that the dryer cycle lasted 20 minutes although I timed mine and they ran for almost 30 minutes.  The dryers tend to take a while to dry even a smaller load and I found I needed to use two cycles per load in order to fully dry my clothes, but you could also hang some up on your balcony (if you have one).  One helpful tip I found out about was that you can call housekeeping and they will bring you some extra hangers to your room (as many as you need) if you want to hang up some of your extra clothes to dry!  The cost for the boxes of laundry detergent and fabric softeners were $1.00 per box just in case you don't bring your own.

I suggest to have a nice swim in the Quiet pool while waiting for your laundry as the Stormalong Bay Pool is not far away but it seemed much more convenient staying by this pool while waiting for these 30 minute cycles to be done.  I hope this helps!

    Have a magical day!
