Hi Moms Panel! So thankful 4 the help u provide! We r taking a "down day" in the middle of our trip. Thinking of using it to look at the holiday decor in different resorts. What resorts r must sees? How should we map our resort hopping?

Hi Rebekah! Planning a "down" day at Disney is a great idea no matter what time of year you are visiting. Planning a holiday decoration tour is perfect!

There are a few spots you just won't want to miss in the resorts and they are basically in two different areas. The first area is the monorail resorts. The Grand Floridian will have the life size gingerbread house in their lobby and the minute you step in the doors you will smell the great scent.  They offer gingerbread for sale to take back to your resort room to snack on too. The other must see stop in my eyes is the Contemporary. Head to the 4th floor and see the large tree and decorations they often have up. They will offer special ornaments for sale that you can't get at any other location.

The second area that you must visit is the Epcot resorts. The Beach Club is home to the famous chocolate carrousel in its lobby. Plan some time there so you can hunt for the Hidden Mickey's around the display. Trust me they are HARD to find! Again there is a store where you can purchase special resort holiday confections. Right next door is the Yacht Club resort and it is fun to visit the lobby to see the large model train set up. In the evenings you can often find small choirs or carolers singing too. You can check at all of the resort concierge desks to see if they have a schedule for musical entertainment. Finally take the short walk across to the Boardwalk resort where you can find their special displays in the lobby. All Disney resorts will be decorated to some degree so stopping at any of them will be fun and festive.
