Hi Mom's Panel! Can you tell me how the new refillable mug with the RFID works with the dining plan. Are the mugs still included with the plan or do you have to purchase them separately? Thanks so much for all of the great info you provide.

Hi Misti!  The Rapid Refill mugs that are being introduced at Walt Disney World resorts will be included in the Dining Plan packages exactly as they were before.  Of course, guests not taking advantage of the Disney Dining Plan are still welcome to purchase a Rapid Refill  mug for use during their stay, with the price varying depending on how many days their stay is.  The only difference in the new mugs and the old mugs is a bar code embedded with a readable chip.  This chip will have the information that will activate the beverage dispensers for the duration of your stay.  Other than that, you shouldn't really notice any difference.

I hope this helps to clarify the new Rapid Refill mug system.  At this time, only the All-Star Resorts are utilizing the new mugs, but they will be rolled out to include all Walt Disney World Resorts in the coming months.

    Have a magical day Misti!
