hi panel! Staying at all star music resort. We have 9:50 am breakfast reservations at Cinderella castle. Wondering what time we should leave the hotel to get to Magic Kingdom. Also is the Disney bus faster than the monorail? Thx!

Greetings, Jennifer.  It sounds like you have a practically perfect morning planned during your vacation.

If it were me, I would try to have my family ready and at the bus stop at 8:30 a.m.  That would give you plenty of time to wait for the bus, travel to Magic Kingdom, go through bag check, enter the park and walk down Main Street U.S.A. taking some wonderful pictures along the way.  You'll more than likely arrive at Cinderella's Royal Table a little bit early, which is always a good thing and then you can relax until you are called to be seated.

The monorail at Walt Disney World travels between Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom.  The other monorail route takes you from the Transportation and Ticket center to Epcot.  I think if you are traveling to and from these places, the monorail is the best way to go. However, from the resort you are staying at to Magic Kingdom you will need to hop on the bus.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, please come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
