Hi Mom's Panel! We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside and would like to arrive at parks before they open each day (MK, AK, DHS & Epcot). How early would you recommend getting to the bus stop at our resort for these parks? Thanks!

Hello Wendy!  Thanks for asking your question here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am glad to see you will be up early starting your day as soon as possible at Walt Disney World.  The mornings are my favorite time to be inside of the parks, you will be so surprised at how much you can see and do before the parks get crowded.

The buses to each theme park start running 1 hour prior to the park opening.  My family and I always try to be at the bus stop at least 45 minutes before the park opens.  We like to get up and get ready, head to the food court to fill our mugs and then hurry over to the bus stop.  Once you get to the parks, you will need to go through bag check before you get in the actual line to enter the park.  To speed up the bag check process, try to have your bag opened and ready to go, especially if you have a lot of pockets.  After that you can head over to the gates, get in line and wait for the rope drop!

Have a great time, Wendy.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
