    Hi panel! Staying at POFQ for the 1st time and our first time at any moderate! Is it worth it to pay extra for river view? Or is garden view just as nice? Are these rooms still relatively close to the main building?

    Hi Rebecca!
    The Port Orleans Resort (both French Quarter and Riverside) is my favorite "moderate" in all of Walt Disney World! I love the theming, the pools, and the fact that you can hop on a boat for a nice relaxing cruise over to Downtown Disney.
    I must say that I am never a big fan of paying extra for views, unless of course, it's at the Contemporary and my view is of the Castle.
    Paying extra for the view is worth it only if a view is important to you, and seeing as how you are spending all of your hard earned money to visit the parks, etc. I wouldn't think you're going to spend much time admiring said view if you had it. Just my opinion.
    Port Orleans French Quarter is quite a bit smaller than its sister resort, so you will be relatively close to anything no matter where your room is verus if you were staying at Riverside.
