    Hi Panel, if we're staying at a hotel on the Disney World resort, can we use the pool at a neighboring hotel? Some of the pool areas look so fun to my daughter, she wants to jump in

    Hi Adrienne! I agree with your daughter when she says so many of the resort pools look like so much fun. Each resort has a special theme that they will carry over into their pool areas and grounds.

    The bad news is that there is a no pool hopping rule in place at Walt Disney World. This is to prevent pools from becoming too crowded with other resort guests. You can imagine how frustrating it would be to choose a resort for their amenities only to find you couldn't use them because others had come in and taken over. Many of the resorts are now asking guests to show that they are indeed guests there by showing their magic bands or resort key cards.

    Most of the resorts will have several pools to choose from. There are often quiet pools where adults can enjoy swimming with fewer children as there will be no slides or kids programs going on. The Yacht and Beach Club resorts share one large main pool called Stormalong Bay and it reaches between the two resorts. Many guests are now choosing their resorts according to the pools and especially if they know they will be spending a lot of time poolside.

    The deluxe resort pools will be the most sophisticated with large slides and other fun amenities. The moderate pools will have slides but generally a bit more simple. They will have hot tubs and children's splash areas. The value resorts will have basic but wonderful pools but you won't find slides. All of the pools will have children's activities throughout the day and lifeguards posted during stated hours.
