Hi Gina,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a lovely resort with a lot to do. It is great that you are staying for two weeks so that you will have time to do so much while you are there. When you check into the resort, be sure to consult the recreation guide that you are given for specific times and offerings during your stay, as all activities are subject to change.
Of course, you'll want to view the animals! This can be as simple as looking out of the windows of the resort. When you check in, you should get a list of all of the animals you might see at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. On our last stay, my 8-year-old daughter enjoyed checking off the animals as she saw them. It became a quest for her to try to find them all! To make animal viewing even more special, go at night when there are night vision goggles available.
Also, take a look at some of the cultural immersion programs. From activities about art to music to stories, there are so many available. You could partake in African face painting, a drum cafe, or hear Africa folktales. On the recreation guide, you will find a key for "bead activities." When you do one of these, you earn a bead. It might be fun for your daughter to collect these. Also, there are symbols for if the activities require extra cost or are adult-focused.
Finally, don't forget the pools! Both Uzima Pool at Jambo House and Samawati Springs Pool at Kidani Village are beautiful. There are activities daily at these as well, including activities such as pool parties, chalk art, and Disney trivia. Our daughter loves the poolside activities!
I would love to help you plan more Gina; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
