Hi Panel, My son and I will be at Disney in 18 days. YEAH! While there he is doing the Priate Adventure at GF leaving me with a few hours on my own, I don't want to go to far any suggestions of what I could do?

    Here's what we do:

After watching our son set sail on the Seven Seas Lagoon, we head to nearby Gasparilla's for breakfast. It's right near the marina. Get an outdoor table and enjoy the view of Cinderella's Castle. It's usually very quiet since most guests have left for the parks.

Next, head indoors to the lobby. Explore the shops. Don't forget to stop in Basin on the second floor where you can de-stress by enjoying the many different soap scents.

We like to then take a walk outside before heading back to the marina to watch our pirate return to shore.

You could take the monorail to the Contemporary and Polynesian Resorts for additional shopping opportunities. The walk over to the Polynesian Resort from the Grand Floridian is especially delightful.

    Other ideas:
You might want to schedule a pedicure at the spa.
Curl up with a good book on the beach or in the lobby. On the second floor there are private indoor and outdoor nooks to be found as well.

Enjoy the quiet. You'll hear the rowdy pirates returning before you see them!
