Hi Panel~ I've seen questions about guests splitting their stay between 2 Disney resorts. How would this work? Do you have to get new room keys and everything? Is it a hassle or is it worth the extra time to make the transition?

Hi Lisa! We had reservations for extended family to stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge with us and they had to cancel one month prior to the trip. We decided to add on an additional night to our reservation, however there was no availability at the resort. We opted to split our stay and take an overnight accommodation at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. We are very glad we did! We did have to check out of Animal Kingdom Lodge, however, Bell Services transferred our luggage and grocery to Saratoga Springs. We were able to continue enjoying our vacation without interruption. Upon arrival and check-in to Saratoga Springs, we were issued new "Key to the World" cards.

The transition from one resort to the other was effortless and we enjoyed staying at two differently themed resorts on the same vacation.  There was not much extra time involved and we would definitely do it again to extend our time in Walt Disney World.
