Hi Charmaine,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I think you are going to really enjoy the bright colors and larger-than-life icons all around
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort – I could wander those grounds and listen to the resort music for hours!
I had one of those early-rising Mouseketeers too, so I hear you on the need for coffee. At this time, there are not coffee makers in the rooms at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. The All-Star Resorts are scheduled to undergo a refurbishment, and the renovated rooms will have coffee makers. The renovations have begun at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, so there are a limited number of rooms there that have coffee makers, but most rooms in the All-Star Resorts will be coffee-maker-free in September 2018.
My family stayed there earlier this year, and here is what I did: the night before, I would buy a cup of coffee and put it in the refrigerator. In the morning, I would add some ice from the ice machine, and then I would have home-grown iced coffee. Not ideal, but it did provide the caffeine boost to get my day started.
With that early wake-up, if your son is going stir-crazy in the room, there is a playground in the resort's Jazz section, or take him for a tour of all the resort grounds on the 1-mile jogging train that circles all three resorts. There is seriously so much to see and I know he will love exploring.
One last thought, Charmaine: definitely check in with a Cast Member at your resort about your early morning coffee needs. They may have some insider knowledge about where you could score a sweet cup in the early hours.
Wishing you a magical – and caffeinated! – vacation,
Robyn
