Hi, there!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lewis. We love when you stop by!
You are correct. Quick-Service meal entitlements now only include one entrée and one beverage. However, Guests on the
Disney Dining Plan now receive
two snack entitlements per day, instead of just one! I'm happy to tell you that you may absolutely use your snack entitlements to purchase a dessert with a Quick-Service meal. There may be a few exceptions at a few locations, but as long as the dessert item is marked with the purple and white Disney Dining Plan symbol, you may add it to your order and have a snack entitlement deducted from your account along with the Quick-Service meal entitlement for an entrée.
Be Our Guest Restaurant is a great example. My family LOVES using our Disney Dining Plan to enjoy a meal there. Not only do we order The Master's Cupcake with a snack entitlement, we also order the French Onion Soup because it too qualifies as an eligible snack! These menu items make a delectable addition to an incredible entrée. YUM. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
Do you know where else I love to use that additional snack entitlement? STARBUCKS! This tired mama of three runs on equal parts pixie-dust and caffeine, so coffee is a must-have for my magical mornings in the theme parks. All sizes of almost all beverages qualify as a snack entitlement so forget the Tall; go for the Venti!
I hope this was helpful, Lewis. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
