Hello Mom's Panel-- I really like your advice. We are coming for the Disney Marathon in January and was wondering about transportation to the Wide World of sports Complex to pick up registration packets. We are staying at Bay Lake-- Buses?

    Hi there, Megan!

Congratulations on committing to one of the incredible runDisney races!

During Expo hours over Marathon weekend, all Walt Disney World host Resorts (of which Bay Lake Towers is one) will offer complimentary transportation - likely a shuttle - to and from the Wide World of Sports complex.

    Per the official site:

Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend Transportation has been arranged for Walt Disney World® Resort guests. Buses will be indicated by Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend signs placed in the front windows and will run every 20 minutes from Walt Disney World® Resorts to the following events:

    Disney's Health & Fitness Expo

    • Thursday, January 5 | 9:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m
    • Friday, January 6 | 8:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
    • Saturday, January 7 | 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
That ought to help you plan out your packet pickup time -- and make sure you build in time to browse the many vendors awaiting you!

A bit of advice: the closer to the races, the longer the lines at the Expo. I'd head over early in the weekend -- and early in the day.

Maybe I'll see you at the finish line!

    Happy training, and --

    See you later, celebrator!
