Hi Panel! I was just reading the Mickey Monitor and saw something in there about a new show at the Castle in the Magic Kingdom. It looks to be a new fireworoks show. I think it was called Magic Memories and You. Is this replacing "Wishes"?

Hi, Sunny! The new castle light show is AWESOME. It's called "The Magic, The Memories and You." It debuted earlier this year as part of the "Let the Memories Begin" campaign for the year.

I had the pleasure of seeing it the last two nights at the Magic Kingdom and it's a sight to see. I was apprehensive about turning the castle into a multimedia canvas, but it was done in such a classy way with numerous hat tips to Disney traditions and recent animation classics (the Buzz Lightyear spaceship blast off is especially awesome.)

It's really cool to see trip photos and photos of guest (taken during the day) projected onto the castle. In fact, last night, MY family was featured in one of the photos on the castle during the 7:00 p.m. show. A Photopass photographer took our family picture in front of the floral Mickey / train station when we got to the park last night. And then our photo was in the show! It was as easy as that (my wife and kids are a lot easier on the eyes than I am, so I had that going for me.)

The new light show on the castle is in addition to Wishes. Check the Times Guide to find out when it's playing. It happens nightly, and sometimes more than once.
