Hi Carolyn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
We've used Memory Maker a few times now, and I really do love it. My husband always wants to take pictures with every single PhotoPass photographer as we make our way down Main Street, U.S.A., so we have lots and lots of shots in our account after all is said and done. With Memory Maker, we own all of those shots so we don't have to choose just one or two to keep.
If you buy Memory Maker at least three days before your trip, it will save you a little money vs. if you wait until you're there, so I'd go ahead and purchase it early. When you've gotten it, you should see it in your My Disney Experience account, and it will be linked to your family's MagicBands. Then, when you're in the parks, the PhotoPass photographers will scan your MagicBand and the photos will automatically appear in your account. Any photos taken onboard attractions, such as Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Test Track, Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain, will also magically show up in your account. Most character meet-and-greet locations have PhotoPass photographers that will scan your MagicBands, and some character dining spots take photos before you enter the restaurant.
When you get home, just download all of your photos to your home computer. You can save them or take them to your regular photo printing location to display those magical memories.
Thanks for stopping by to visit us today, Carolyn. Wishing you a magical vacation!
