Hi Mom's Panel, I am planning a WDW vacation (air fare & all) for my family (19). There will be 10 adults (1 disabled/wheelchair room necessary ages ranging from 31-79) and 9 children (age ranging from 5-16). What do you reccomend? Thank you

Hi Lorrayne! Grand Gatherings at Walt Disney World are so exciting and promise to be filled with magical memories. The first thing I would recommend that you do is to contact the Grand Gathering Travel Planners at 407-WDW-PLAN (407-939-7526). They will be able to help you choose which Resort will best accommodate your travel party, as well as assist in making dining reservations for your large group. Our last Grand Gathering included 18 of us in all, and I've also planned one with ages ranging from 3 months to 70 years. There are 3 exciting Grand Gathering Experiences which you may be interested in trying: The Safari Celebration Dinner, The Good Morning Gathering (breakfast), and The International Dinner and IllumiNations Dessert Reception at Epcot. If you are purchasing the Disney Dining Plan, your credits may be used towards these meals. Contact the phone number provided above for more information on these exciting events. As far as your working on your daily itinerary, I recommend you talk to everyone and see if there are any "must-do" attractions or restaurants on their wish lists. Go with a plan, but don't over-plan...in other words, be flexible :) On our last trip we went into it knowing we may not stick together for everything, and that some people may want to do things that other people didn't...and that was ok. We had set times and places to meet up, in the event that some members of the party went to the pool, took a nap or chose to explore something on their own. I suggest laminating daily itineraries with dining reservation times and other important information, and giving those to each adult member of the party. You are going to have an amazing time, making memories that will last a lifetime!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel and be sure to stop back with any other questions you have as you plan your vacation.
