Hi, Mom's Panel! Planning my vacation details over a year in advanced. We will be driving to Disney World for a vacation late next year. I know check in is at 3pm. If we are later than that time, would our reservations still be held? Thank you.

    Hi Angela,

No worries! Your Walt Disney World resort reservation is guaranteed, even if you don't show up until the middle of the night. On the opposite side of that, you also may find your room is ready well before 3 p.m. if you show up early.

Either way, I suggest taking advantage of the online check-in option. As part of the process, you let the resort know your expected arrival and departure times, and they do their best to accommodate you accordingly. For example, on one recent visit, I let the Coronado Springs resort know that we'd be arriving around 10 a.m. We got a text about that time letting us know that our room was ready and providing our room number. We used our MagicBands to access the parking lot and our room, dropped our bags and hopped on a bus to Epcot without ever visiting the front desk.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Angela. Please check back with us often as you make your plans for your 2018 vacation. We're always here to help!
