    Hi panel! As a new DVC member, are there any perks for Sept 20-29 that I should know ahead of time? We are still awaiting all of our info, so I am not sure what to expect yet! How many water slides are there at AK pool? I was hoping for a great slide!

    Howdy Rebecca and WELCOME TO DISNEY VACATION CLUB!!

    I’m so excited you will be visiting Walt Disney World during the kick-off to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. It’s such an incredible event!!!

    There are ALWAYS great perks and specials available for DVC members. Offers can change so I encourage you to check the DVC Member website (under Member Extras) often to ensure you are taking advantage of all of the discounts available to DVC Members.

    You might want to take part in Welcome Home Wednesdays! On most Wednesdays at 2:00 PM, Atlantic Dance Hall (Boardwalk) becomes a fun-filled atmosphere exclusive to DVC Members and their guests. You will be able to mingle with your Disney neighbors over refreshments as you play games specially designed to be Disney funny and friendly.

    Be on the lookout for information regarding Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. In the past, there has been a DVC discount for tickets pre-purchased for select nights.

    You will also have access to dining and shopping discounts. Be sure to print a copy of Portable Perks from the DVC Member website before you leave for your vacation (you will also get a copy at check-in) so you can be sure to enjoy all of the discounts available to you.

    One of the best pieces of advice I can give you is…don’t be afraid to pull out your DVC Member card each and every time you go to purchase or enjoy anything and everything at Walt Disney World. Ask if there is a DVC discount just to be sure you are not missing anything. The discounts and special events are just a few of the perks of being a Member but I want to ensure you take advantage of everything you are able to receive.
