    Hi Mom's Panel! Going to MNSSHP on Sep 1 with dinner beforehand at BOG. Are we allowed to be in costume during dinner, or does Disney prefer you change into your costume after eating? We are going as Belle and the Beast. Thanks for your help!

    How exciting to be attending the first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the season!  I love your idea about having dinner at Be Our Guest restaurant prior to the start of the party.

    As long as your costumes fall within the general guidelines for party-goers for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you should be fine wearing your costume to dinner if it is just prior to the start of the party.  My personal guideline has been to arrive in costume anytime after 4:00 p.m.  My reasoning is because in the past, Guests have been admitted with their party tickets after 4:00 p.m. 

    One of the most important elements to consider when dressing up for the party is how you will appear to other Guests, especially children.  As long as your costumes will not confuse children who are also dining at Be Our Guest, you will probably have a lot of fun wearing your party clothes to dinner.
