Panel Members, My family will be visiting DW in late April, 2012. We will not be staying at DW. We will be visiting 3 days. My family consist of my mother-71, my daughter-16 and myself-I will be turning 44 that month. What would you suggest?

Hi Cathy..sounds like a great girls vacation!  I am assuming you are staying outside the parks but not far from Walt Disney World.  And I will assume you will have transportation every day to the parks with a car.

I suggest you buy park tickets that do not include the park hopper option.  When you are staying off property it is harder to hop from park to park. This will mean that you will need to choose three of the four great parks within Walt Disney World but you can always come back for another girls trip in the future. There is so much to do at Disney that even a week vacation is not enough to begin to see it all!

Every trip needs to include a visit to the Magic Kingdom.  This is where it all began and just to walk down Main Street to see the castle is magical in itself. There are many great attractions to appeal to all ages and it is not just a younger children's park.  I suggest you try to get a dining reservation for the day you will visit...either Tony's or Liberty Tree Tavern.  You can do this by calling 407-939-3463 or go on line at www.disneyworld.com. Be sure and stay for the night time parade and the fireworks show called Wishes!

Another park I think you will enjoy is EPCOT. Again get a dining reservation for that day and there are tons of great country restaurants to choose from. There are great attractions and then the area called World Showcase is the place to see just a little bit of what it is like in different countries around the world.  Stay for the nighttime show called Illuminations which is held normally at 9pm.  This is an unbelievable fireworks and laser show set to music.

Your final decision will be to either visit Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom.  If you are into the movies and arts visit the Studios, if you are into animals then Animal Kingdom is the place to be. Get a dining reservation for whatever park you choose. Enjoy!
