Hi Panel, this may seem like a silly question, but do I need quarters for the washer/dryers at my resort. Canadian banks only have US bills, are there change machines available? Should I bring laundry supplies or is there a vending machine for them? Thanks

    Christine:

No question is a silly one.  Only the ones that go unasked and keep you up in the middle of the night!

Our family tends to travel light and usually camps at Fort Wilderness, so we are all-too-familiar with the laundry facilities.  We've also been to Disney as a part of longer vacations in our RV, so I'm thankful Disney still maintains self-serve laundry facilities, even in the resorts.

You won't have any trouble turning your bills into quarters for the machines, as there are change machines in the laundries I've used both at the fort and Port Orleans.  If not, a quick visit to the front desk shouldn't be a problem. As for laundry supplies, I say a definite 'yes.'  The small boxes of detergent cost $1 when we last did laundry in 2009, and I was glad I'd remembered to pack detergent.  To me, it's worth buying the powder and lugging it in a suitcase!  And don't forget your bounce!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!
    Whitney

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
