Hi Panel! My DH and I LOVE eating at Be Our Guest for dinner but the feeling is not shared by our kids. Is it possible to bring food from a QS restaurant in with us? If not, can they order just a dessert or a side? Thanks!

    Hi Irene,

I completely understand your dilemma!  I have two children who have quite an adventurous palate and who even tried escargot when we were dining on our cruise onboard the Disney Dream.  However I also have two other children who would only eat pizza, chicken strips, and hamburgers every single day if I would allow them.  Therefore we have found a way to compromise when dining out that enables all of us to enjoy the foods and restaurants we love.

When preparing to dine in a restaurant in which my "pickier" children would not care for, we let them have a more generous snack or small quick service meal prior to our table service reservation.  Then later when we are dining at the restaurant I allow them to order an appetizer and/or dessert instead of a full meal.  I find this is a very good compromise and allows us all to enjoy each other's company without a struggle over dining options.

Even if your children aren't thrilled with the dinner menu at Be Our Guest Restaurant, they will be delighted to dine inside the restaurant itself!  Be Our Guest Restaurant is full of magic and is one of my children's all-time favorites and is one place they all four can agree upon.

Thank you for your question Irene.  Please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
